I grew up in times when old but perfectly fine looking clothes were handed-down, the not so fine looking ones were donated and the torn ones were transformed. And what transformation? Thicker fabric became TV covers, coasters, make-do mittens, other embellishments and softer ones became wipes based on its qualities it either became a vessel wipe, kitchen counter wipe, table wipe, the floor mop or even bandage! We are now in times where there is too much of 'done-with' fabric that even after going through the down-cycling flow chart there is so much lying around getting hoarded.

and at the organic store Buffalo Back (https://www.facebook.com/Buffalobackorganic)
There are several other utility items that I make and this blog will me tracking that ..... me playing with fabric and the outcome. I enjoy making sense out of all the old fabric and tailor scrap that I have collected. I hope extending the lifecycle of the product does make a difference somewhere in the big picture.
I wholeheartedly welcome suggestions, ideas and queries. Write to me - stitched2save9@gmail.com
